Email Sending Limit Exceeded, but it hasn’t been?
Disclaimer, I am new to O365. I picked it up while our sysadmin is vacant.
We have alerts sent when users exceed our sending limit in a 24 hour period to try to manage spam. They have mostly been accurate, but we’ve been getting notifications that an account has been sending 200+ internal emails. When I run a trace or a compliance search on this account, they’ve only sent 12-18 emails in a 24 hour period. Thing is, this isn’t even a user account, it’s a distribution list. How do I figure out why this is setting off the Sending Limit Exceeded alerts?
